Little change

The main currency pairs are little changed this morning. The euro continues to trade in and around the $1.19 level against the dollar and at circa 86.5p against sterling, while the pound is still hovering just above $1.3750 against the US currency

US and German 10-year bond yields closed very marginally higher yesterday at 1.67% and -0.29% respectively. In equity markets, European ended up a touch on the day while US indices finished a little lower

Retail sales volumes in the Euro Area partially recovered in February according to data published yesterday, increasing by 3.0% following a decline of over 5% in January. On an annual basis, sales were down almost 3% on February 2020

GDP in the UK increased by 0.4% in February, following a decline of 2.2% in January, but was still 7.8% lower than in the corresponding month in 2020

Data due today includes the ZEW Index of Economic Sentiment for the Euro Area and CPI inflation in the US
